Re: [SurfGuitar101] Re: sympathetic reverb noise

Overall the bungee is best, but a really soft pillow will do wonders.....I used
to be amazed at Rip putting his tank in front of his speaker cab......his sound
was literally drenched in wetness......I hear the acoustic interference and
prefer to iso my tank as best as possible....for a more pure and controlable
splash.......ed

You might want to check out the Auralex Gramma Amp
Isolation Riser. The Auralex Gramma is known in the
studio world for use w/monitors, but there's a new one
for the gigging musician that was introduced at the
recent NAMM show called the Great Gramma. Info from
Harmony-Central here:

Subject: sympathetic reverb noise
Hi all,
I just finished building my 15" tone ring speaker
cabinet and put it
through it's paces. For some reason, unlike my 2x12"
combo, the
vibrations caused my reverb springs (outboard) to move
enough to create
a little noise. I know others have had this problem
and have written in
the past about it. I decided to do a little research
on material to
isolate equipment from vibrations and found a whole
bunch made for
super anal audiophiles with tube amplifiers. Here's a
link:
Do you think any of these hold potential as a possible
solution as an
alternative to hanging it by a bungee cord?
