I hate to be the buzz-kill here, but I want to speak up for the Electro-Harmonix
Holy Grail
Reverb. I have owned two Fender Reissues Reverb, a couple Premier Reverbs, and
have a
hand-wired reverb from Weber based on the original Fender cicuit.
While the Weber reverb is the shit, and I highly recommend it as well as an
original, hand-
wired Fender reverb, the Holy Grail is a very able substitute. It has great
depth and a mild
amount of "sproing!" when you mute the lower strings.
If you don't have the billies to spend on a real Fender tube reverb, the Holy
Grail is a very
capable unit at about one-fourth the price. IMHO.
