trying to define what is 'surf'
I think of the Laika lads as 'surf', others choose not to
so be it
same thing seems to happen for bands like the Mermen, Aqua Velvets,
and countless others
what's happened for me is that the 'boundaries' of what WAS 'surf'
is now much wider, broader....the genre needs to breathe, to grow,
to keep redeveloping, reinventing itself...
either way, those Cosmonauts are amazing, and great guys to boot
