I have seen the reformed Showman and Belairs in a couple of their odd gigs. They
aren't currently playing and of the two, I would like to see the Belairs
continue. PJ's songs were so great. I'm well aware of Jim Messina's attitude. I
asked Jim Messina when he played at one of our Glendale block parties if he
would do "The Jester". He gave an emphatic "No!". Never-the-less, he still has a
place on my list of bands I'd like to see.

At least two of these have reunited for shows - the Belairs and Eddie
and the Showmen for instance.
Jim Messina will never reform the Jesters - he really dislikes all of
that material, and doesn't even mention it on his website (at least not
as of last year), and seldom responds to questions about it.

I'd like to see Messina and the Jesters too. When I haven't listened
to that record in awhile it's always nice to come back to. I'd
probably like to see Eddie and the Showmen, but I've been told they
were a different live band than studio band, and they often opted to
cover top 40 hits. I would not be suprised if other surf bands did
this as well. Still... I think it would be pretty cool to see Eddie
Bertrand playing a Jaguar. Although not a "surf" band the beloved
invaders era of the Ventures would have been unbelievable.
