Re: [SurfGuitar101] Re: The Vintage Surf Instro Top Four

The Sentinals would be very cool, though live they were mostly an R&B
band a la their Las vegas LP. I understand that Tommy Nunez (lead
guitar) plays blues in teh Central Valley somewhere, and Johnny Barbata
- probably on the oldies circuit with some incarnation of the Airplane
or someone.
Johnny Sudetta (Fortune) would be wonderful to see - a family band -his
younger brothers - wasn't the drummer 10?
I heard once that Myers still plays, and may be working on some
recording project. He was awesome!
Bobby Fuller - well, he's dead!

Definitely the Sentinals (Are any of them still active? I get the
feeling that, like the Rhythm Rockers, they were probably a good R & B
band that latched on to the surf thang).
Johnny Fortune---guy could play.
Bobby Fuller
Dave Myers & Surftones (maybe because I'm from Laguna Beach)
.
