I'm a wild-man about Reverend guitars I love their amps
and "Drivetrain" overdrives, too. I've got a "Spy" (3 Kent
Armstrong lipstock pickups) with a bigsby, and a Rocco
(2 Humbuckers w/coil tap) with no whammy. They are "players'
guitars": extremely resonent, sustain for days, super light
weight, great necks, terrific pickups, a cool retro look,
very well designed. The volume and tone controls have the
right taper and are very responsive. They stay in tune really
well. I couldn't be happier with mine. I hope to get a
"Slingshot Custom" or one of the new ones with P-90's.
Joe Naylor and his small staff are very accessable and
easy to deal with. I cannot recommend Reverend highly enough.
However, they are definitely very different, and not for
everybody. They have a trial period, so you can send them
back if not satisfied, no questions asked. I hope this helps...
