ask me. I guess they just wanted to duplicate the Jag layout. IMHO
all Fender basses look 1000% better with the ashtray covering that butt
ugly bridge - and they sound better with the foam rubber mute that used
to be stuck in there. I also like the old pickup covers on the basses,
but I'm just an "old school" kind of guy.
