"Whittier Blvd." (Thee Midnighters) is an absolute marvel. They were
the pinacle of the east side sound, a big band 7 or 8 members - that
could really rock. The follow-up "Love Special Delivery" is similarly
cool, and their album and most singles well worth finding. I love "I
Found A Peanut" (as punky as they got) and their sadly lo-fi "Dragon
Fly" and "The Big Ranch" ("El Rancho Grande").
They still tour sometimes - fairs mostly.
