all the ventures records are great records;man. some better than
others(and i have my presonal favs, but to call there surfing record
weak i think that a bit of a subjective point of view(they wrote most
of the tunes on that record) no reverb listen to pipline ,the
cruncher, and ten toes over wow no reverb.i had the record in 63 as
well as the surfairs wipeout and surfer chioce by dick dale.do those
records have more verb. than the ventures surfing album, and what about
nookie playing on the surfing record, pretty weak right.i been seeing
lots of list of great surf records.but most are records form 79-2005
or comp of earlyer stuff.but what about the ground breakin early stuff
like bud shanks," slipperly when wet" sound track ablum witch came
out in 1956 even thou the're a jazz group you can still call it a
surf record with drums guitar bass sax its all there even the twang
man .i happen to like all of it. the new as well the old
tim sullivan
the supertones
