Hello Dalibor! Wow, it would be incredible if the Bambis could do a
US tour! Count us (the Madeira) in on helping you set up any shows we
could (Indy, Detroit, general midwest area). When we toured the west
coast we were always able to borrow equipment from other surf bands we
played with. I know Jon & the Nightriders did the same when they did
the short tour of the south as part of Surfari '97. We'd be happy to
let you have our gear. My guess is that you would also be able to
stay with people in other bands if you wanted to save some money on
lodging. We'd definitely put you up!
As far as I'm concerned, the Bambis are the leading ambassadors of
surf music around the world today, maybe second only to the old man,
and it's high time you played the US! I'm sure Peter Buck and the
other guys could hook you up with some show promoters, too.
Let us know how we can be of help.
Best,
Ivan
