I really don't know about renting gear in the US. I would think people
would love to loan you some gear. If you come to Seattle you have a
blackface Showman, BF Bandmaster, BF Tremolux, Hot Rod Deville(we use
it for Bass), and a strat, two Jazzmaster, and 2 Jaguar's at your
disposal. And a Fender Jazz Bass. And Reverb Units. I am speaking for
our lead guitarist as well. I am sure he would consent. Big Bambi
Molesters fan like myself. We watch the Backstage DVD all the time. Of
course you have the Peter Buck connection up here in Seattle as well.
I am sure he has some nice gear. Lada and Hrvoje came out to Seattle
didn't they or did I make that up? It is a great town and I am sure
Peter would have no problem getting you a gig.
