Yeah, I hear you re: the lameness of "piano bass" when
compared to "real bass player".
With the Doors in particular, I always enjoy the difference
between Ray Manzareks "left hand" bass player (Break on
Through) to the real-deal bass player (LA Woman)
Any use of the Fender Piano Bass in the surf world that
anyone knows about? It is an interesting instrument, I
wonder how it would sound in a reverberated setting?
