Mike ,
Gavin's on the right track here. The Squier "Mini" sells for $99 has
a 22 3/4" neck (same as a a short scale Rickenbacker). Decent
guitar, holds heavy gauge strings fine. Could use better tuners, but
hey....
Also Dean makes a 2 short scale models in the same price range.
