Have you looked at the little half-scale guitars Fender makes? They have a
couple at the
local guitar shop, and I always pick them up and play around on them. There are
some
little mini-Schecters, too. The short scale makes them easy to fret, a big plus
for small
Ventures fans and mini Dick heads! I think the guitars go for less than $100 -
don't know
if they have reverse left-handers, tho. I am left handed and play right handed.
Handedness
doesn't seem to be a big consideration when playing, IMHO. I think, if she
learns right, she
can play right. But maybe that's just me. Most lefty are somewhat ambidextrous,
i.e. they
can do some things right handed, too. That's me in golf, hockey and guitar and
hammering nails! So, maybe the handedness isn't such an issue.
Best of luck, hope your girl finds musical inspiration.

Gavin
