I'm not sure what your question is. Yes, "Brontosaurus Stomp" was before
"Surfer's Stomp" (1960 versus 1961). Same genre and circa???? No. The
earlier discussion was prompted by someone wondering about the first "surf"
recordings. The only record by The Piltdown Men that qualified, even
marginally, was "Night Surfin'" in late '62, a full year after "Surfer's
Stomp." The only thing in common with these recordings was that they were
made by studio groups.
