-thanks everyone for their imput about jaguars. a friend of a friend
lent me his MIJ 62 reissue jazzmaster and i'm going to play it for a
few days. it is a beautiful guitar. when he had it set up he replaced
the saddle with a mustang one and he too said he was having trouble
with the bar flopping around and one of his friends suggested earth
magnets which work really well. (i'd never heard of an earth magnet
before, but they are tiny little magnets with a lot of power) to my
ears it's definitely got a deeper sound than my strat and he's only
got 10's on it, so i can only imagine what some heavier strings would do.
