Wow Danny!
"Argosy"? Awesome song! The kinda song I'd be proud to have composed, a song
that stirs the emotions and feels full of imagery and texture. I'm tilting ever
so slightly in favor of the faster version. This would sound so cool with a
live drummer. Also, I think a cleaner rhythm section sound would be better,
with just a touch of OD on the lead guitar, and I'd take a slightly more
aggressive, biting sound for that lead as well, with a hint of echo/delay on it
- you'd have an epic song in the mode of "The Savage" as a result.
I lliked Demo #2 a lot also. The sound reminded me of some tunes by The
Kilauaeas, a German Surf Band. Your use of the Dick Dale - Misirlou rhythm
cadence in the middle was a wickedly effective touch!
You seem to have the knack for writing great instro songs - I hope you have a
band to help you to record and perform them, 'cause these are tunes that deserve
to be played and heard by others! Keep at it - songs with the quality of these
two, definitely suggest a tremendous talent!
