Hard to say - besides maybe "Pipeline," "Apache," or "Walk Don't
Run," "Misrlou" has to be up there as far as one of the most covered
surf songs out there. Personally - I think the Surf Coasters' and
Slacktone's versions just rip as far as energy goes. The Trashmen's
version is great, too. There's another version on a Japanese comp
called "Let's go Surfin" by a band who's name escapes me that's
really good too. I'll always be partial to Dick's "original"
rendition, though.
