I'd have a really good amp tech replace the input and
output jacks...On the reissues they are notorious for
failing...I'm sorry that I didn't have time to read
all the postings but I assumed that you are having
trouble with a reissue....They are also notorious for
picking up RFI as in local FM radio stations. Not all
the time....just when you DON'T need it....I tried all
sorts of filtering but that printed circuit board has
some built-in gremme. We have had serveral starting
with one real early one and even though Fender has
modified the board, my most recent RI will do it
too...oh well...best of luck and let me know if you
