The Spring Dampening Lever is a rather large somewhat
C-shaped metal slider mounted on the bottom (inside) of the
chasis (with two screws). It's job is to push the reverb
spring tank forward and hold the reverb spring tank
stationary during transport.
After transporting the reverb unit, the Spring Dampening
Lever should be slib back away from the reverb spring tank
(in other words, it should slide to the rear of the
chasis).
whew... this sounds confusing...
