Wasn't the classic 60's song "Lonely Surfer" lead played on a
baritone?
It was quite a thrill for me to see The Hellbenders (twangy spaghetti
western / cowboy rock) pull out the Dano baritone for a few
numbers...it was really bad-ass and fit the genre perfectly. I imagine
it would work well for spy type tunes as well.
I believe Mike from The Urban Surf Kings mentioned he uses one from
time to time.
