Interesting! It never even occured to me that there could be two
lead guitarists, but I can now definitely hear the two distinctive
styles. Well, I really enjoyed both his songs and his guitar
playing, I think he's excellent (as are you, for sure). I'm sorry
to hear that he's gone. And I'm not surprised to hear that he's
probably not familiar with the AVs - it seemed more like an
accidental style in common rather than willful emulation.

Yep, you should definitely try to hold on to his songwriting

Excellent! I know Cerphe was doing this even when I still lived in
DC (I moved in '98), and I'm very happy to hear he's still at it.
And that he still favors LOCAL surf bands! What a great guy! I
hope it helps with local promotion a bit...
