you could try to score an empty cab and buy a speaker seperatly.
My bassplayer recently bought a new speaker for bass to put in an
existing cab - a 15" by eminence. Just the one speaker, we had a
thread about it here, maybe you remember.
he uses a bassman 100, and we both thought that the eminence sounded
way better then my two D14F's (in the bassrig!), which we also tried.
if you want, I can look up for you what speaker it exactly is.
