Yeah - Bob speaketh the truth about weight - the JBL's weigh in at like
40lbs EACH for a 12" (at least mine were, have to go look to see which model
they are). I am scared to move the amp for fear of pulling the handle out of
the top! It takes a mule, 8 pygmies and a team of midget wrestlers to move
that monster... but man does it sing...
My '94 Blues Deluxe is bone stock, but is an amazing sounding amp for what
it is. The 'verb isnt exactly soaking wet, but it works well and weighs
about 1/3rd of what the big Twin does. Very LOUD to be a single 12" / 40w
amp... which I hate, as I usually prefer an amp that gets it's mojo on about
2-4 on the volume scale. This Twin kicks in around 3.5, and the BD gets
going around 2.5 but both have enough headroom that if you wanted to, you
could blow the windows out of the house without getting distorted.
