Maybe, this is an idea for Jerry who is looking for a cheap surf tube amp.
There are a lot of Fender silverface tube bass amps on the second hand
market. They are in general much cheaper than guitar amps because, well they
are not really great bass amps. But they might do well for guitar.
Recently I did a repair job on a colleagues Bassman 100 and I must say it
had great potential: Clean and a lot of headroom. I think with a few minor
mods it could be a mean surfmachine.
Any comments on that?
