Thanks for the report. That is one of the greatest testaments to
Slacktone's greatness. The King of the Surf Guitar won't acknowledge
one of the several actual kings of the surf guitar. Do you know if
Dick came out to see the Surf Coasters? I am bummed that Shigeo goes
by Prince of the Surf Guitar. He should be Emperor of Surf Guitar.
Slacktone's Misirlou is amazing. I love the Surf Coasters as well but
I have to give it to Slacktone's current version of the tune.
I was thinking yesterday about the whole King of the Surf Guitar
title. What we need is a system of government that doesn't have a
single head of state. Or atleast a representative body that could
include all the great players while not making one guy above everyone
else. It could be the Senate of Surf Guitar.
