Riviera, that's the one I was looking for - centre block, but less of
an ES335, like the Sheraton / The Dot.
Indeed, a great player, very well crafted. there were good pups in
there too, tho not my fave at the time. My only complaint was the
frets were not really smooth surfaced , it felt strange bending
strings, like chalk on a blackboard.
maybe the more expensive models have better frets. BTW, Gibsons from
the same period (90's) I played were crap compared to both theepi and
my '78 LP.
what the f am i doing discussing Gibsons on SG101? spank me!
