Re: Dusty Watson Ripped Off...

Elizabeth (surf_guitar_lizzy) - 14 Apr 2005 13:09:26

I've lost 3 guitars, between 2 different break-ins, 2 years apart.
From one trailer I was renting, somebody stole my Epiphone Texan and
Kamen-Montana 12-string (along with my TV, VCR and several limited
edition Fossil watches). From another trailer (at the same park), 2
years later, someone stole my Synsonics portable electric guitar and
10W portable amp (along with my cordless phone, a boombox and several
VHS movies). In the case of the second trailer break-in, I'm guessing
the thief was either too stupid to know a RADIO SHACK amp would only
bring a couple of bucks at a pawn shop, or was THAT hard up for the
couple of bucks for drugs.
Of the first trailer break-in, I heard from my neighbor to the 2nd
trailer I lived in at the same park, that it was possibly my only
neighbor to the 1st trailer I lived in that got my stuff. My 2nd
neighbor also said that this guy had hit others in the park, for the
drug money, and that a couple of months after I'd moved out, a mob of
park residents got together, busted right into the guy's trailer and
beat the *&#@ out of him. In my case, I wish death on people stealing
from me. Might be a bit extreme, that, but if they're stealing to buy
drugs, then it'd be no big loss to anybody if they got shot to death
in a drug deal gone bad.
Sorry for that bit of a rant...I can't help it...I miss my Texan!
Especially when even the latest Elitist Series, which I couldn't
afford, has just gone out of production. :(
