Hello Vincent. I've never played a Mustang so I cannot comment about
them begin surf guitars. They are less valuable than the Jaguar and
Jazzmaster. The Dakota Red Mustangs look really nice. The Jaguar has a
short scale like the Mustang. The pickups are different in the Mustang.
Also I wouldn't consider your getting a Blackface amp very important
to your sound. I am sure the Silverface sound good enough. If you have
the money why not get a blackface. They do sound better. And more
importantly they look cooler.
You English is pretty good.

surf stuff with Brian's page about Man or Astroman?, since I try to
reproduce surf sound with my group. I recently bought a vintage Fender
Mustang on Ebay (Dakota Red number L55119 from late 1964)absolutely
perfect and (above all) still affordable for my wallet....Is there a
book about these Mustang? I've seen on a Vintage Guitar site that the
guitar was a "student guitar" with short scale. Does that mean it's
not as valuable as a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster? These guitars are
impossible to find here in France at a reasonnable price.... Is there
a main difference with a Mustang? I'm playing on a silverface Twin
Reverb: is it better to find a vintage blackface amp than to change
my guitar? Thanks for your answer and forgive my american which is not
perfect!
