Hey all,
I've found a guitar of interest on Ebay, but I'm very suspect of it.
Looks nice, but there are just a few things that don't jive, so I need to
bounce it by someone who might be certain....Here is the link:
Now then, here are my question:
The seller is claiming its an original '66 Jaguar
-In black? Was that ever an optional custom color?
-Rectangular mother-of-pearl fret inlays in the 60's??? I thought that was a
70's thing.
-Black pot knobs? Like the kind in the picture? in '66?
-No "Jaguar" on the headstock decal? Would Fender have done such a thing?
-no mention of replacement foam on mute?
I don't know...can anyone dispute this? Great looking guitar but the
year "66" and the details just don't jive.
