Bloody Jag Re: New Album Added of The 'Verb

Jacob Dobner (jacobdobner) - 03 Apr 2005 16:34:52

I bloodied my band during our first song and the cut grated against
the strings the entire 30 mintues of the show. I was using really
thing picks. Dunlop Nylon .46s. I love those picks but my thumb and
tip of of index finger get really sore during shows or long practices.
I use Dunlop Gels M-L now. It is really hard to adjust.
That is a good story about your brother. I had a black suit on so you
couldn't see the blood on my pants. Luckily I didn't wear beige pants.
The ultimate guitar gore story has to be anything involving Pete
Townshend. I have heard that he impaled his hand on his strat trem arm
before. There was no tip on it and he windmilled and got all arm. He
also cuts up his hands pretty bad during shows even now days because
he windmills from the unsafe direction. Townshend also hit somebody
with his guitar like a baseball bat. At woodstock a famous hippie got
on stage and started talking about politics during the Who's set so
Townshend hit him/her into the crowd from the stage. I say him/her
because the persons name was Abbey Hoffman but I think it might have
been a guy named Abbey. There is not footage of this happening because
they were changing the film in the cameras while this happened. The
audio was still rolling so there is the event documented in sound.

See this post in context.
