I see that the new Eric Johnson Strat has an interesting mod. It's basically a
'57 Strat with maple neck, thin nitro finish, but the tone knobs control the
neck and bridge pickups as opposed to the standard config wherein they would
control the neck and middle pickups. I think that's purdy good as I ignore the
center pickup. What I don't like about the guitar is they've given the neck a
fairly flat 12" radius.
