I had honestly not thought of a Strat copy from
another company as an alternative but the VM-10
actually sounds like a great idea, especially given
the $149 tag. Thing is, after numerous hobbies that
involved the fun of dumping money into aftermarket
parts for pieces of gear (I was notorious for pissing
away hundreds of dollars on a hundred dollar gun when
I played paintball, and after all that it was STILL
just a hundred dollar gun) I've decided that aside
from a possible pickup swap I'm not really willing to
spend money to upgrade things like hardware. For that
money I'm into Mexi/MIJ territory. So Bruce, what do
you think of the VM-10 in its raw form? Right now I'm
eyeballing a couple of Squier Strats on eBay; an newer
Chinese Standard series and an older Korean Squier
that's probably from the 80's.
