I did an "interview" with Frank Allen of The Searchers backstage in Dartford
outside of London on Saturday March 5th; Frank called THE SHADOWS "the first
true guitar heroes". I had asked him for his opinion on THE SHADOWS, for, from
my standpoint, THE SEARCHERS were obviously somewhat "influenced" by them, their
technique, etc.
I will probably run the interview within a month on my "Twang Shebang" Internet
Radio Show heard at www.myrealbroadcast.com -- will post that when it's up and
running for those that might be interested; I also got an "interview" with 2 of
the founding members of THE MERSEYBEATS that same evening
