Just a quick note on the Streetlight Records show in San Jose.
This Surf Coasters tour is UNBELIEVABLE! It just keeps picking up steam
as it rolls along.
I have NEVER SEEN as many people at Streetlight Records as there were
today for The Surf Coasters.ever! I estimate 200-300 people! It was
amazing! The Surf Coasters charmed San Jose like they've done on every
leg of the tour and played all the popular songs from the new Samurai
Struck. This crowd was more than just Phil Dirt and Uncle Al's
well-prepped audiences. I asked and some of these people saw the
write-ups that Ferenc stoked in the San Jose Mercury and came down.
Streetlight made out like bandits and sold a ton of CDs today, not just
Surf Coasters. There were people on cell phones calling their friends on
the way out of the store.
The band set up for signing autographs after the show and the line
stretched out into the street on Bascom Ave!
Folks, the Surf Coasters are now stars in America. It is clear.
I snuck up front and got some close ups, so I will post on Cowabunga
when I can.
Off to the Blank Club next (which will be packed tight without a doubt).
