Re: Sound Man

jacobdobner - 26 Feb 2005 12:38:37

We only have one show under our belts and didn't deal with a sounds
guy. We know somebody set up the mics and turned them on but we don't
know who. And somebody asked us what our extra recording mic was for.
Might have been the sound guy.
Sound guys have a christ complex. They think they are jesus and they
know more about music than the band playing it. Question for the sound
guy. Why are you the sound guy and not in a band or working as a tech?
In the Bambi Molesters DVD you can see the sound guy kind of being an
idiot. This is what I think he is saying. Kind of muffled but I have
seen it 7 times or so. Somebody kicks a tank somehow and you hear the
sound guy say with sarcasm "great reverb. can somebody turn it down"
They turn it down wasn't sarcastic and then Lada(the bassist) gives a
confused looked and seemed bewildered at what he requested because he
didn't know what he was talking about.
