I am wondering what the deal is with the 1962-64 Fender 6G6 Bassman
amp +(2X12 cab). Almost everyone I know who has had one uses it for
guitar, but I've seen tons of shots of o.g. surf guys playing bass
through them (in Bob Dalley's surfin' Guitars book). It's only 50
watts with Jensen C12Ns or Oxford 12M6s. Those are guitar speakers,
right? Doesn't seem like a great design for a bass amp. Shouldn't it
have been called a Guitarman? ~Mike
