Hey Ian,
I bought a 65 Delux for just over $500, used. It was in bad qshape and I
had to put $150 to replace the tubes and have it cleaned up.
The benefit of this amp is it's perfect tone at high volume, but you're not
going to be able to play anything bigger then about a 150 person venue and
still have plenty of power. On the other hand, it's perfect for me and I
currently use it for smaller clubs around Los Angeles.
Another thought is that you can always put a house P.A. mike on it for
bigger places.
