When I had my CIJ Jazzmaster the back of the neck profile was much
thicker than the AV our rhythm guitarist had. However, with the CIJ
Jaguar I have found the AV neck to be thicker than the CIJ. Why the
hell would they do this??
Now I really like the thicker neck on the AV and I've been looking
into replacing the CIJ neck with an AV. Sure enough, Fender doesn't
sell replacement AV Jaguar necks. Warmoth...doesn't make a 24"
neck. Are there any vintage years that would have the thicker neck
profile? If I do go this route I'll most likely not get to play it
until after I buy.
