I have this exact same problem. Just the other day I
sat down and noodled around until I found something
that didn't sound quite like anything I was familiar
with that I liked...it sounded like a great bridge to
a surf song so I got kind of excited and figured out
the rhythm part...which turned out to be Am, G, F,
Em...which I guess there's nothing wrong with, but
geez...
I think some of us just aren't songwriters.
