I'm not sure how accurate this is but...
(1)Get the Ventures Midi File of Surf Rider at
(2)then download the demo version of a piece of software called G7 at
(3) open the midi file with the G7 software, it will show you all
the parts of the song including the bass part-but it will be in
standard musical (piano) notation.
(4) You can click on the bass notation then click on the "create"
tab, then click "other", then "staff type change", then "tab",
then "4 string bass" and BINGO you got it.
Lot of work. But Yyu can use it over and over again, and virtually
all the Ventures stuff is on this guy's web site, it's fairly well
done, and it's a good learning tool.
