Okay now you got me curious. I'm looking into whether my web host
provider supports phpBB, a free web based forum software package. You
can see an example of it in action at the Hypnotic IV web site:
Marty, I think Jacob meant editing his posts after he posted them. Can't
do that with Yahoo Groups currently.
Jacob is also right, Yahoo Groups gives us a file section, photo
section, the database stuff (that no one uses), polls, and even a
real-time chat (has anyone used this?). Of course we could keep the
Yahoo Group active for these features, but just shut off the message
part (make it for announcements only).
I'll start a Yahoo poll on the issue. If my web host supports phpBB the
computer geek in me will force me to setup a test forum.
