Wrecking Crew Documentary Coming Soon

Hi,

I was just turned onto this very cool site and wanted to introduce myself and my documentary.  My name is Denny Tedesco and I am the director of the film, The Wrecking Crew.  I'm new at this so forgive me if I mis-step in regards to blogging or sending out news.  I noticed the documentary has been mentioned a few times and I wanted to let you know that we're not giving up an hopefully the film will be out this summer.

We are having screenings around the country in the next month or so.  Vancouver on the April 15th, Phoenix on April 17th and then to Philadelphia on April 25th and April 28th and 29th.  One of your readers from Philadephia turned me onto Surfguitar101.com so I'm hoping we'll get to meet many of the guitar players.

This is my labor of love.  My father was guitarist, Tommy Tedesco.  If I can figure out how to send a picture, I'd love to share the photos we took of his Telecaster that he worked with on the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Marketts, Routers, T-Bones and so many more recordings.

Please take a look at the out takes on www.wreckingcrewfilm.com

Best to all of you who play and love the music.

Denny Tedesco

Your father was the very best part of my summer at Musician's Institute many years ago. He had us in stitches and pulled back the curtain on a profession that very few have any exposure to.
I will always be in awe of your father's accomplishments.
It was obvious that beyond the hard work and dedication to his craft, Tommy's success was as much to do with the fact that he was the kind of guy that everybody would want in the room with them.

Can't wait to see this documentary!

I saw the movie when it was shown in Ventura, CA. Anyone who is the least bit curious about music from the 60s and 70s has got to see this!

We'll be seeing in it in Philly very soon. I think it's my wife (Barbara)you've been emailing with. Is anyone coming along with the movie for a Q&A?

Hey,
If there is a screening, I'm there. So please come and say hello. If you ever saw my father live or at a seminar, you'll know some of his material. These musicians were an amazing group in an amazing time. I'm so lucky to have captured them before their passing. I'm going to try to connect the pictures of his guitar on the website.

One day, I'll learn the 3rd chord and start playing guitar. Thanks for the support and help.

Can't wait to see the film. I was an avid reader of your father's column in Guitar Player, and got to see him do a workshop which was one of the more enlightening musical experiences I ever had.
