Storytelling Without Words Inspired by the coastline, the outback, long drives, our rockin' pubs and many Surf/Instrumental performances over the ages, Goofyfooter write and play about Australian places and themes. Definitely NOT your traditional surf music - it's a crossover, a fusion, an "Aussie mongrel breed"... shitloads of reverb and tremolo, big acoustic guitars and the occasional splash of cheesy organ. Sometimes it's brooding and reflective, sometimes it's upbeat and fun... and sometimes it's just downright loud and dirty! Music that comes from a place within, not manufactured for a quick sale. It makes for an eclectic mix, guaranteed to transport you to a place you once knew... that deserted beach at sunrise, that night around an open fire, that Kombi trek along a corrugated gravel road.
this is my second video
The Sinisters are a 4-piece reverb-drenched, "wet and fuzzy" instrumental surf band. Formed in early 2012 in Phoenix, AZ, The Sinisters influences include everything from the classic '60s sound of the Avengers VI and The Lively Ones to '90s bands such as The Bomboras, The Ghastly Ones and The Witchdoctors. The Sinisters find inspiration in classic horror and sci-fi films from the 60s and 70s, and incorporate a theremin and vintage Halloween sound effect records into their music to lend their sound a unique and spooky flavor. The Sinisters are: Matt O'Ghoul - Lead Dave Grave - Bass Billy Exorsmith - Organ Johnny Nightmare - Drums and Theremin
The Aqualads got together in 1997 under their original moniker of the Big Swinging Hammers while playing out their set of '60s surf rock instrumentals throughout their native of Charlotte, NC. With a live set that partially consists of covers and their backing go-go dancers the Aquanettes, the bands first official release was a 1998 Christmas 7" aptly titled Aqualads XMAS. After a slight lineup change that left guitarist Jimmy King as the only original Aqualads member, the rest of the quartet consisted of Greg Walsh (guitar), Colin LaRocque (drums), and Jeremy DeHart (bass). Soon after this settled lineup was complete, the band eventually released their debut album, entitled Hotbox, in 1999.
Agent Orange is an American punk rock band formed in Orange County, California in 1979. The band is one of the first to mix punk rock with surf music. They first gained attention for their song "Bloodstains," released on their debut 7" EP in 1979.
The Anacondas, a spicy surf band from Amsterdam with a taste for ballroom blitz and psychedelic bizarre. The Anacondas started in 2000 when Johnny Torpedo stopped playing raw power punk with his band The Killers. Johnny had enough of noise and distortion and started to gain more interest in reverb and vibrato. He met Jack Stuka, Pete Python and Messerschmitt Marzl and formed The Anacondas, a surf style band with a rock & roll heart.
Combining classic movie monster fandom with punk rock energy and a 60's pop sensibility, The 3-D INVISIBLES have been developing their sound since they began in 1981. The song lyrics are the result of too many Creature Feature movies and brain-rotting comic books. The music is high energy, often hard hitting. The band has labeled it's sound "Monster Rock" (from a song by British horror-rocker Screaming Lord Sutch). The band members are: "Billy Bones" Bowen on drums, "Crypt-Rocker Chris" Flanagan on bass guitar and backing vocals, and songwriter "Creepy Rick" Mills on guitar and lead vocal. The group became the core for a variety of spin-off bands for Mills and Flanagan. These include: The Zombie Surfers (surf & scary), The KAOS Killers (spy themes), Screamin' Savage & the Cavemen (50's trash rock & roll), The Hellbenders (spaghetti western), and most recently The Volcanos (high energy surf). The 3-D Invisibles have released three LP's and four 7" records on their own Neurotic Bop label, along with a compilation CD "B-Movie Brain" containing songs by them and some of the spin-off bands. So if you dig the fright scene and you wanna rock, head down to the cemetery or your local haunted house and check out The 3-D INVISIBLES!
