I am using line6 TonePort UX1 with GearBox & FXJunkie sofware for home recording.

Is anybody else here using these? Have you been able to get any decent surf sounds?

Used Gearbox with my Line 6 POD XT Live in the past - was never happy with any "surf" tone I tried to capture. The big problem I found was the reverb is awful.

I'm using it. I've found that one key to getting good tones out is to put a very clean, simple tone in. Guitars with character don't seem to work as well with it. YMMV, naturally.

Actually, I think my current guitar (CP JM) does have character, at least it sounds way much better than my old Strat. I've got a quite satisfactory euro-instro sound with even if the tape echo emulation is single-head only.

My query was about how to get a surfier sound. I know the reverb isn't much to brag about, but which amp model and what kind of tone settings would give the surfiest sounds?
