i am just starting a band called tiki racket and am wanting to know some music to start out playing. my favorite surf band is the chantays

Really -- Staredge speaketh the truth. There's no point in playing any song that doesn't crank you up! This may be a stretch but if even one member of the band absolutely loves the song, the feeling will catch on and soon enough, everyone will enjoy playing it. If for some reason, you really hate the song, it's important to give it a try anyhow and if it doesn't 'grow on you', you need to have the courage to speak up.
