An appealing art deco look. It's grabbed my attention for several minutes. |

I gotta say, that's much nicer than the one the Custom Shop started putting out this past year. —The Phantomatics on Facebook |

Looks kind of neat and at the same time kind of ugly. Needs a tremolo system. |

Not exactly my cup of tea either, but yes that amp is the bomb. I think the most remarkable thing about the guitar is the very nice and subtle relic, which he seems to have mastered. (ie. it doesn't look like some arsehole beat it with a belt buckle.) — |

I have thought a lot about making a similar guitar, only in sonic blue and maybe only a TV jones neck pick-up. |

That's very classy, but what_ I _wanna see is a big ol' hollowbody guitar with _Jazzmaster _pickups. Seems a natural, in my opinion. --Crispy |

That's right Crispy, Eddie, like any other self respecting automobile/guitar buff, wants to know...........what's under the hood? "Powered by Jazzmaster".................I like the sound of that! ed —Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps? |

My next partscaster project is going to be what I'll call a Jagcaster. My vision is opposite of what's in the picture in this thread...Tele body and neck, with Jaguar pickups and tremolo. I've already bought the pickups (MIJ Jag) from Ivan, and while I'm still collecting the rest of my parts for my current partscaster Tele project, I'm also trying to decide how I want to wire the Jagcaster. For now, I'm considering ordering my Tele body without the control plate route, and doing my own a la Jaguar control and switch plate routing, along with cutting my own pick guard to incorporate the custom routing. Rather than do any routing on the upper bout, I'll likely use concentric pots, with Tele knobs. I'm not sure how far out the Jagcaster partscaster project will be, but at least I'll have a couple of unique Tele-style guitars, with my current project having a Strat-style tremolo, and P90 pickups (once I ever get around to ordering a set). Very cool looking, especially the coloring. One has to ask, though, with a single pickup, what's with the switch? -- Woody —It takes a lot of mussel memory to avoid clams. |

There are a couple of Teles with the bridge cover in place shown here. The bridge pickup is beneath the cover. If it was actually a single pickup guitar and having a 3-way switch, it could be the builder's own interpretation of Esquire wiring. It would be interesting to hear tones from a guitar having only a neck pickup and 3-way switching, as it would sound quite different from an Esquire. Matt —Fast Cars & Loud Guitars! |
