This is one of the best SURF INSTRUMENTALS from the BEACH BOYS: SURFN U.S.A ALBUM
I can't find it on the internet or in sheet music. Let's get this song TRANSCRIBED on Surfguitar 101 so we all can enjoy playing it.
Anyone have the LEAD GUITAR ARRANGEMENT for " STOKED " by the BEACH BOYS transcribed?
BASIC Guitar Rhythm Section:
G or A combination, etc.
G COMBINATION GUITAR RHYTHM TRANSCRIBED HERE:
3rd Fret Position 6th string starting notes to each guitar rhythm run
(G 2x's/C 1x/G 1x/D 1x/C 1x/G 1x's).
If you play A combination move up to 5th fret position 6th string to start
Rhythm Guitar Run utilized:
P=Position on Neck (e.g. !st Fret is 1st Position)
F=Fret
S=Guitar Strings Standard Tuning E6th/A5th/D4th/G3rd/B2nd/E1st
b = Flats (e.g. Bb, Cb, Ab)
= Sharps (e.g. C#, D#, F#)
Single notes played:
G COMBINATION: Played 3rd to 5th Fret Positions
3rd Position 6th String G
3rd Position 5th String C
5th Position 5th String D
I favour this rhythm guitar arrangement to my ear.

- 3P5S start C G C Bb G C G C Bb G Bb C 1x
- Repeat number 1 again only 1x
- 5P5S start D A D C A D A D C A C D 1x
- Repeat number 2 again only 1x
- Repeat number 1 again or, try ending G D G F D G G (Slight pause)
Would be great to get a NOTE BY NOTE NOTATION FOR THE LEAD GUITAR on Surfguitar 101.
COMMENTS:
I'm finding the first two comments regarding my quiry concerning this song STOKED rather disturbing. I'm seriously interested in playing this song's lead from an old vinyl record. I would appreciate "constructive" help. Yes, I could do my own thing, but somehow it just would be nice to play it like the BEACH BOYS . . . anything wrong in that?
