Permalink Surf Songs on a Carillon

New Topic

Ok, I love surf music and I am always talking about to folks wherever I go. Well I work a a University and was talking with a professor about surf music. It turns out he plays the Verlin Pulley Carillon here at Miami U. I talked him into playing some surf songs on it! Very Happy Anyway today he played:

Mr. Moto
Miserlou
Apache

Remember this thing had a bunch of bells and kind of like an organ built into it. But it sounded really cool. Since they are bells they have a long sustain rate and things can't be played quickly, so things get drawn out a little.
I recorded Mr. Moto, but we had a lot of wind so I am not sure if it will come out. I will check it later tonight.

Here is an article about the professor and the Carillon.

Thanks
Guy
