The Professors are looking for a drummer. Our drummer is moving to North Carolina July 1st.
The Professors are not necessarily a strict "surf band". We are always instrumental, but we like lots of different sorts of music, so we tend to write songs in different genres. In one show we might need you to play punk, bossa nova, country shuffle, and ska. It could be a lot of fun if you're into a lot of different styles. Our line up is guitar, bari or tenor sax, percussion (could be bongos, congas, tambourine, didgeridoo, shakers, cowbell), bass, and drums.
If you are into (in no particular order) Surf, Henry Mancini, Explosions in the Sky, The Budos Band, '70s porn music, quoting Caddyshack and Raising Arizona, beer, and the idea that less is more, please get in touch.
